Episode 37: The Life and Times of the Joker plus weekly books

We take a look at the history of Batman’s favorite nemesis: The Joker.  We talk a bit about his history in comics, review his life in TV and film and then pick our favorite stories. 

 

Then it is on to weekly books.  Rob picks Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs and Dead She Said.  Tony liked JSA and Final Crisis: Requiem.  Gabe’s choices were Secret Invasion and Action Comics.

In honor of Mel Brooks 82nd birthday, we talk about his films this week.  Rob discusses the social commentary in Blazing Saddles and the Producers.  Tony goes on about Blazing Saddles while Gabe waxes about his childhood favorite, Space Balls.   We also pick our favorite characters.

The it is on to the weekly books.  Rob discusses Young Avengers:Fairy Tales, Gabe pics Final Crisis while Tony enjoyed Proof.  (We all didn't care for New Avengers)
